We Teach What Schools Don't

Summit Financial Academy was built on one belief — every young person deserves to understand money before life forces them to figure it out alone.

The gap is real.
We're closing it.

Today's young people are sharp, driven, and hungry to succeed. But most of them will graduate high school — and even college — without ever learning how money actually works. Not budgeting theory. Not textbook savings formulas. Real financial decision-making.

That gap costs them. It costs them confidence, opportunity, and years of compounding growth they can never get back.

"Most kids will make their biggest financial mistakes before anyone ever taught them the rules of the game."

— Brooks Clifford, Founder

Summit Financial Academy was built to change that — starting early, starting right, and making every lesson feel like real life.

Founder, Summit Financial Academy

Today's young people are sharp, driven, and hungry to succeed — but most are never taught the financial skills to get there. Brooks Clifford built Summit Financial Academy to close that gap, bringing 12+ years as a Registered Investment Adviser into a program designed specifically for the next generation.

He's not a classroom teacher who learned from textbooks. He's someone who has built real wealth through investing, helped others do the same, and spent over 15 years coaching youth in Edina and Eden Prairie — which means he knows exactly how to connect with young people and make complex ideas stick.

Brooks Clifford
Founder, Summit Financial Academy

Brooks started his career at Morgan Stanley in 2011, where he developed a deep understanding of financial markets, investing, and wealth management. In 2017 he was recognized as a member of the Forbes Financial Council — one of the most respected communities of financial executives in the country. In 2021 he founded Bidwell Investment Group, and has since helped build real, lasting wealth for his clients.

But the mission that drives him most is simple: he's been teaching financial literacy through internship programs since 2018, long before Summit Financial Academy existed. He saw firsthand what happened when young people entered adulthood without the financial foundation they needed — and he decided to do something about it.

Outside of finance, Brooks has spent 15+ years as a youth baseball coach with both the Edina Baseball Association and Eden Prairie Baseball Association, currently serves as a judge for History Day Minnesota, and has spoken at high schools and universities about technology, investing, and building a future on your own terms. He's also a father of two — ages 8 and 10 — which means Summit Financial Academy isn't just a business. It's personal.
